NPR last night had an old interview from last year with Ms. Ek where she claimed to live in St. Paul but now she says she's always lived in St. Cloud...perhaps there's two of her.
Off CD2 listserver:
Page 16 of the MN Election Judge guide, "People can only vote in the precinct where they live......If someone lives in more than one place, he or she must decide which place is his or her principal residence for voting"..."A person can have only one residence".....
On page 17, Voter Registration Application, number 15: "Be sure to tell voters to read the oath on the card and sign it only if all parts apply to them. By signing, they affirm that all the statements on the card are true and correct and that they meet the requirements....Giving false information to register to vote is a felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $10,000."
If Ek used a utility bill to prove residency, her name had to be on the utility bill (even though her parents own the house) - unless she used a driver's license with the St. Paul address. And she's trying to state that she was really a St. Cloud resident???
Wonder if the DFL will file a complaint? Based on everything I've heard...they should.
